Document Description
The Operator proposes to alter the marsh to install weirs and pipes through the existing berms that separate the segmented ponds within the Carlson Marsh portion of the San Joaquin Marsh. The project will also include raising the south berm closest to Campus Drive approximately one foot. The installation of the weirs will impact 0.08 acre of wetland habitat temporarily. The raising of the berm closest to Campus will temporarily impact 0.06 acre of wetland habitat. All impacts are temporary. Mitigation for the temporary impacts wetlands/ riparian habitat will include the restoration of the disturbed areas. The disturbed portions of the marsh shall be restored. Restoration shall include the revegetation of stripped or exposed areas with vegetation native to the area and the removal of exotics in the area. All restoration activities shall be completed within 30 days of project completion.
