Document Description
RTP's are planning documents developed by regional transportation planning agencies in cooperation with Caltrans and other stakeholders. RTP's are required by Government Code 65080 et seq., of Chapter 2.4 and by federal legislation, U.S. Code, Title 23, Sections 134 and 135 et Seq. The RTP sets forth priorities for all modes of transportation (i.e., street, transit, non-motorized, aviation, etc.) through the year 2025. The RTP includes transportation backround information, goals, objectives and an action element which lists specific projects likely to be funded through 2025. All subsequent projects proposed by the cities of Redding, Anderson and Shasta Lake, the County of Shasta and Caltrans must be consistent with the RTP to be funded.
