Document Description
Prescribed fire project to occur on remote Lassen County high desert/ sagebrush steppes ranchland consisting of native grasses, sagebrush and western juniper. The project is designed to reduce juniper and sagebrush competition on the native grasslands. The project will be conducted under CDF's Vegetation Management Program (VMP). Within the VMP, this project has been designed to include standard best management practices and already incorporates all appropriate mitigation measures to ensure that any potential adverse environmental impacts are reduced to less tha significant or totally avoided. Future activities include ongoing forest and range vegetation management activities and wildlife and habitat conservation measures.
