The project has two components: 1) Installation of additional water treatment facilities at the Rose and Lang groundwater wells, and new pipeline to convey filter backwash from the proposed treatment facility to an existing sewer connection; and 2) Diversion of water from two existing wells tapping the Trabuco Canyon underflow, a subterranean stream tributary to San Juan Creek, as proposed in the District's Water Rights Application No. 30790, dated October 9, 1998.
