Document Description
Lead Agency proposes to reconstruct the intersection of SR 94 and Steel Canyon Road to improve safety at this location by installing a traffic signal light, extending the existing two-way turn lane 1400 meters (1526 yard), and realigning the horizontal curve to an 80 km/h (49.7 mph) design curve by widening the roadway. In doing so, two unvegetated ephemeral drainages require realignment, and one 1.2 meter APC storm water pipeline (together with appurtenant concrete head-wall, and an energy dissipater, i.e. rock slope protection and/or rip-rap) will drain into Steel Canyon Creek, these project attributes are subject to the Section 1601 of the State Fish and Game Code. The project causes no direct or indirect loss of wetlands or mature riparian vegetation, and the project description include the restoration of disturbed areas with appropriate native seed mixture.
