The applicant has applied for the issuance of a City of Modesto Building Permit for construction of a proposed 10,400 square foot expansion to the existing cold storage/meat processing building of the Yosemite Meat Company, consisting of a 4,291 sq. ft., two-story area for cold storage, and a 6,109 sq. ft. area for processing, located at 601 Zeff Road. The project includes fill and grading and footing for the expansion area as well as installation of on-site drainage facilities and associated road improvements. The building addition area would be located primarily on an existing concrete and paved area adjacent to the riparian corridor of Tuolumne River immediately adjacent the Tuolumne River Comprehensive Planning District. Measures are included to protect riparian habitat.
