Document Description
The proposed project involves site selection and acquisition, and development of a site with a Juvenile Justice Complex consisting of a 540-bed detention/ commitment facility, six juvenile courts, and ancillary facilities on one of five sites in western Ventura County. The first phase of the project, to be completed in two to four years, would consist of a 420-bed detention/ commitment facility, six courtrooms, and ancillary facilities. The second phase, to be completed by about 2020, would consist of expansion of the detention/ commitment facility to 540 beds.
