Expansion of the existing waste transfer station located on Hawthorne Street in Eureka, CA for a proposed solid waste recovery and transfer station to be constructed by the Humboldt Waste Management Authority. The Solid Waste Permit for the Hawthorne Street Transfer Station (12-AA-0033) imposes a maximum of 510 vehicles per day. An adjustment to the Permit is being requested, whereby the maximum limit would be raised to 79 vehicles per hour, not exceeding 948 vehicles in any continuous 12 hours of operation.
