Document Description
The proposed Removal Action Workplan (RAW) is an addendium to a previously DTSC approved RAP for the remediation of the Former Hanford Manufactured Gas Plant Site. The site was intially subdivided into seven zones (Zones A through G) based on current property ownership and usage. All seven zones have been previously investigated and have been remediated in accordance with the approved RAP. The Southern California Gas Company has decided to make a change in the remediation alternative selected for Zone A (containment of impacted soil with an asphalt cap) to an alternative that is more health and the environment. The remain objective of the proposed project change is to further remediate Zone A to allow for a less restrictive land use to be recorded in the Deed Restriction for the site and to remove limitations on commercial/industrial workers who could be exposed during subsurface activities.
