THE PROPOSED PROJECT CONSISTS OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT (FROM AN 'INDUSTRIAL' LAND USE CLASSIFICATION TO 'MANHATTAN VILLAGE COMMERCIAL') ZONE CHANGE (FROM 'IP INDUSTRIAL PARK' TO 'PD PLANNED DEVELOPMENT') AND A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PROJECT TO IMPLEMENT THE 'PD' ZONING DISTRICT. THE PROPOSAL ALLOWS THE COMMERCIAL UTILIZATION OF A PORTION OF AN EXISTING INDUSTRIAL BUILDING ON A SITE OCCUPIED BY 3 EXISTING INDUSTRIAL (RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT) STRUCTURES. THE PROJECT ADDITIONAL ALLOWS THE CONTINUED INDUSTRIAL USE TO THE REMAINING TWO BUILDINGS ON THE SITE AS WELL AS THE UNOCCUPIED POTION OF THE SUBJECT BUILDING.
