The CDFG has issued an Agreement Regarding Proposed Stream Aleration (SAA #5-205-00) ("agreement") to the Leisure World, City of Laguna Woods ("applicant") in conjunction with the applicant's proposal to alter the streambed to construct an assisted living facility and parking lot. The creek will be placed in an underground pipe, and backfill, permanently impacting 0.1 acre of streambed and associated mulefat scrub habitat. Mitigation for permanent impacts to the stream and its associated habitat will include the creation and restoration of 0.20 acre of riparian habitat upstream of the project site.
