Document Description
This project is the annual clean out of percolation ponds at the base of Brigantino Fill along the Muertos Creek Drainage. This drainage has been altered by the reclamation plan over burden deposited and Eucalytpus grove removal as a part of the over all Graniterock quarry plan. This fill area is slated to eventually be contoured and revegetated to an oak woodland community. Erosion and sediments from the fill area are trapped in a series of ponds which require routine maintenance and cleaning. Any water overflow would eventually percolate in meadows that are past the sediment ponds. The CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement #R3-2000-0272 pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Benjamin Licari/Graniterock.
